Partner

Throughout the bible we see partnership. From the beginning God chooses to partner with us as human beings to bring his salvation on earth. In Philippians 1:6 Paul thanks the people for their partnership in the gospel. We likewise recognise the mutual blessing and fruitfulness and ask for your partnership in the gospel with us.

Ywam Derby is involved with different ministries that enable us to fulfil our call and to be catalysts or facilitators to mobilise God's family the church to step out and be a part of changing the world. When the Holy Spirit came upon us as God's church, he told us:

"You will receive power and you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the earth."
Acts 1:8

This challenge is not progressive, first Jerusalem then Judea, but it's a call to simultaneously be engaged locally and globally.

How can you partner with Ywam Derby?

Helping practically

Helping practically
  • Pray for Ywam Derby and its mission - every Tuesday 9-10am
  • Serve with us in one of the ministries bringing God's love to the people of Derby
  • Give practical help. Could you help with the garden a few hours weekly or monthly? Do you have skills in painting, decorating or DIY and some hours to spare?

Giving financially

  • You can give a regular monthly gift towards the costs of running Overdale House
  • You can contribute financially to the mission and ministries we are involved with
  • You can give a one-off gift or regular support to a member of the staff team. It is particularly challenging for staff from some nations to raise a level of support for living in the UK.

Using Overdale House

Overdale House has good sized rooms and is ideal for church leadership or ministry teams to have space to seek God together plan or run training sessions or host your Alpha day.

  • Bring your youth group or University CU for a house party. We will arrange a unique package that works for you.
  • Come to one of our seminars or weekend conferences that will encourage and equip you to know God and make him known, see 'events' for dates & times
  • Host & facilitate seminars to equip you to share the Gospel in a multicultural context.

Short-term missions opportunities

  • Lead or facilitate short-term missions experience trips for people of all ages with a focus on India, Thailand & China.
  • Partner with Ywam England & Soul Survivor in 'Get Out' mission.

Outreach Teams in Derby

Come and be involved in mission in Derby, we can host you and you can serve with us as we bring God's love to the people of our city.

  • Bring your DTS outreach
  • Send your SOE outreach team and work with us to be a catalyst in an inner city community or plant a small team
  • We welcome your Urban Missions or Mercy Ministries teams
